A Beautiful Glass of Beauty!

celery juice

I picked up two of these beautiful glasses yesterday at the thrift store for .49 cents a piece. I love things that are glass and I also love stainless steel kitchen things. 🙂 I got a few gems of those yesterday too, but that’s another post.

I thought these glasses would be perfect to drink my celery juice out of and they are!

I love my morning celery juice and am forever grateful to Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, for sharing the healing benefits of celery juice. Here is just a snippet of goodness from one of his blog posts on celery juice:

“Celery is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory foods, because it starves unproductive bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus, and viruses that are present in the body and flushes their toxins and debris out of the intestinal tract and liver. Pathogens like these are so often the underlying cause of inflammation—in their absence, your body is much better able to handle whatever life throws your way. At the same time, celery helps good bacteria thrive.

Consuming celery is the most powerful way to alkalize the gut. That’s in part because celery (which is technically an herb, not a vegetable) is high in bioactive sodium. It also contains cofactor micro trace mineral salts as yet undiscovered in research. These are varieties of sodium and other trace minerals (more than 60 of them) that are present in celery and work symbiotically and systematically with each other and with celery’s regular sodium to raise your body’s pH and rid toxic acids from every crevice of your body, including your gut. This process is ideal to cleanse and repair intestinal linings.”

I love the many benefits of celery juice. I drink it everyday. I also am eating tonnes more fruit in my daily diet and am excited to say, I am finding that a great side benefit is that the weight is literally falling off my body. I went through 3 pairs of pants this morning that were too big and I had to put them aside to donate. Getting dressed everyday has a whole new dilemma to it but I am not complaining. 🙂

I encourage anyone reading this to add in celery juice into your daily routine. If you need any help on how to prepare it or have questions, please reach out to me. I will be doing future blog posts sharing more details on preparation and such but in the meantime I am more than happy to answer any questions you have. Just throw them in the comments and most importantly Bottoms Up! 🙂
