What do you think of when you think of herbal tea? I think of medicine. That’s what I think of.
And if celery is an herb, then it is a medicine to me also. The other day I posted this picture on Facebook.
What a Christmas gift to myself I thought! Medicine! And I truly see celery juice as medicine. You can Google for yourself and see. Not only have I had many people that I know share with me their success stories but there are multiple thousands on the internet who share wonderful stories of healing. It is so amazing and awesome!
Like this FB message I received on the morning of Nov. 20/20
“Nothing quite like waking up every morning to learn how much more progress my body has made. I’m watching a miracle in action! Slowly the HS abscesses are getting smaller and smaller. When I bumped the celery juice to 32 oz the results are happening even faster. I thank God for you much lately, my friend. “
But going back to the herbal component, this is the reason why we ‘juice’ the celery rather than just eat a whole pile of it. We want to extract the herb’s medicine just like we would with herbal tea. When we run the celery through a juicer we extract the medicinal properties from it.
I love walking in the produce section now because when I look around and fill my cart, I feel as though I am filling it with natural medicine, because I am. 🙂
“Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food” Hippocrates
Well have a great day folks and I would love to hear any of your celery juice or other nature’s medicine stories. And a shout out to Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, for introducing the world to Celery Juice!
And I am wishing you a Healthy New Year in 2021 and beyond!
Eye floaters are spots or dots that appear in your vision and you seem to have to chase them in your vision.
I remember the first time I had eye floaters when I didn’t know what they were. I thought it was a little bug or fly in my kitchen and I kept trying to catch it. 🙂 I eventually realized that the object I was chasing was in my vision and asked around about what was happening to me (this was pre Google) and found out about eye floaters.
Although these are often harmless, they can sometimes indicate a serious condition so if your eye floaters persist be sure to visit your eye doctor for a proper examination.
As for eye health, nutrients are important for eye health, just as nutrients are important for all organs and body parts that we have.
I have been drinking daily celery juice and now realize that I no longer have eye floaters and I also have had an improvement in my eye sight.
I was reading today in Anthony Williams book “Medical Medium Celery Juice” this:
“Celery juice helps with eye floaters by reducing inflammation that occurs on the optic nerve – which is what’s responsible for this mystery symptom that confuses medical research ad science. White spots, flares, white flashes, or black spots that occur without noticeable damager to the retina, pupil, or any other part of the eye are the result of neurotoxins from the Epstein-Barr virus, combined with heavy metals such as mercury, inflaming the optic nerve.
The powerful flavonoids and vitamin C that travel with celery juice’s sodium cluster salts and specific nerves in and around the brain, including the optic nerve. They disperse neurotoxins that have been sitting on the nerve, and they even protect the nerve from viral invasion while feeding nerve cells, allowing the optic nerve to rejuvenate.”
Some of the most important nutrients for eye health
The most important nutrients for eye health include:
Vitamins C, A, and E.
It is interesting to note that when I do hair mineral analysis testing for clients to determine the presence of heavy metals in the body and brain as well as checking for nutrient deficiencies and imbalances, we almost always see low levels of Zinc and Selenium!
I personally supplement with all of the above mentioned nutrients as well my daily 16 ounces of celery juice.
There are two supplements that I highly recommend for eye health and general health. If you are looking to support your eye health and your health in general you might want to consider taking a look at these two in particular. They are beneficial for eye health and so much more!
Next is one of the most important nutrients of our time. Vitamin C! This one is delivered in a delicious drinkable form as well and taste great. You can even mix the OPC-3 and Vitamin C together and along with any other Isotonix supplements. I drink these every morning and have for 23 years!
I hope that you found this helpful and I will share some other links here too that you may also find beneficial.
So many of you know that I am an advocate of celery juice and try to drink it every day.
Well just over a week ago, I was commenting on a friend’s FB thread where they were talking about avoiding night shade vegetables.
There were many comments back and forth, but I am only going to share a few here to lay the framework of the point of my post here.
My first comment to my friend…
We went back and forth and then I shared this comment.
So speed ahead to 11 days later and Lei tags me in a post! I guess she researched the Medical Medium work and tried celery juice. Here is what she said.
And if you are wondering what HS is:
Hidradenitis suppurativa (hi-drad-uh-NIE-tis sup-yoo-ruh-TIE-vuh) is a skin condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. The lumps can break open, or tunnels can form under the skin. The condition mostly affects areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks and breasts.
And another one from my friend.
In conclusion, I can’t wait to see if celery juice continues to help Lei. And I am so glad that she shared this with me.
I for one, am a firm believer in celery juice and its benefits and have heard and read countless amazing stories of how it has helped people. I will keep spreading the word. 🙂
This morning I was drinking my celery juice and was getting ready to wash my juicer and I thought “Hey, I should make some of my Celery Juice Pulp & Potato Soup”! And it is the perfect day for it, not that there is never a perfect day for this delicious soup. But today is rainy here so it makes it extra perfect. 🙂
I have made this soup before and even my 14 year old daughter loves this one so this is a big, big, bonus. I am sure you will too.
After I made the soup I was still working on drinking my celery juice and knew that I should finish that and wait for a bit before I have anything else to eat or drink, but I couldn’t! This soup is that good. I had to try some. And let me tell you my taste buds loved it, but so did my tummy. Seriously, it is the most soothing soup ever!
This soup is tasty, soothing and healing! You just can’t go wrong with this one.
And I will show you step by step how to make it. But first the recipe:
Celery Juice pulp that you have. I had about 14 stalks worth of pulp. If you don’t have celery juice pulp, just chop up about 7 or so stalks of celery.
6 small to medium sized potatoes. I had these to use up.
3 to 4 garlic cloves or more if you love garlic.
1 small onion diced or more if you love onion. I am one of those cooks that says to go with your gut and intuition. We don’t have rules in my kitchen. 🙂
2 veg bouillon cubes. I used organic, non GMO and gluten free. Note: depending on the diet you are following Ex.. Medical Medium perhaps, you could omit these and the soup would still be good with the use of salt and pepper
Salt & Pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And again depending on your diet you could omit and sautee the garlic and onions in a bit of water.
Okay Let’s Get Started!
You might notice that my potatoes are on the soft side and look like they are ready to be used up and they are but that is fine for this soup because we will be blending it baby! I don’t waste any food because it is medicine!
Again depending on your diet you could omit this step entirely and just use water to saute the garlic and onions (not quite the same)
Can you smell these? Wow. The best smell in the world. Nothing better than garlic and onions cooking together. Cook these just until soft.
Into the pot they go! I like using a big cast iron pot like this one. I use these pots for everything!
Next is your 6 cups of water. Now you could take your two bouillon cubes and stir them into the water and use hot water before you put in the pot. Probably a better idea than what I did which was to just throw them in the pot. It turned out okay because it was blended at the end, but I could see they hadn’t dissolved after boiling.
Get your soup boiling and then slowly boil or simmer it until the potatoes are fork tender. Looking good already though!
The soup is done! And didn’t take long at all. And by the way, you can cut your potatoes in any size you want and even leave the skins on if you want. I removed mine because my potatoes were not that fresh.
Now time to head to your Vitamix or blender.
Now I have to say this was one of the best bowls of soup that I have ever had. I very much listen to my body and my body loved this! I intuitively know that the soothing and nutrient dense ingredients in the potatoes are what I need!
If I had to give one word to this soup, it would be SOOTHING. 🙂
I hope that you enJOY!
And here is a link to other ideas for celery juice pulp:
This morning I was reading from Anthony Williams book “Liver Rescue” and was once again both reminded and inspired to take small steps in my day to enhance my health.
I think sometimes we lose ground and fall backward and then think why bother? Or we shame ourselves for not being as disciplined as we maybe once were in the past. Or we’ve gained weight and we shun ourselves about it, and in turn become immobilized about doing anything to balance this out.
This is what I read today that inspired me:
“People don’t get enough credit for taking care of their health. They’re taught to put so much ahead of their own well-being, which means that when they take steps to heal, they can feel almost guilty about it, like it’s not real work. They can feel like taking time to go to the farmers’ market, or to make juice or cut up fruit or order their supplements, isn’t as productive or important as if they were using that time to send emails or pay bills or check off other boxes on their to-do lists. Don’t let yourself fall into the trap of thinking that caring for yourself doesn’t matter. Know that every step you take to heal has great meaning.”
I hope you found this inspiring and well for me I am off to make my cucumber juice 🙂
Those that know me, know that I am an advocate of celery juice! It must be apparent because I often get tagged on Facebook or private messaged the price of celery at the local grocery stores, especially when it is on special. LOL! I love it.

Amazing Benefits of Celery Juice
Sounds pretty amazing right? This is why I continue to drink celery juice as often as I can. I shoot for every day but you know how it goes, sometimes that does not happen so I just do the best that I can.
One of the things I love about celery juice, is how it supports liver health. I often hear people express to me their concerns over their livers. Some have been diagnosed with Fatty Liver and others tell me they can feel their liver and it is painful or uncomfortable. Supporting our livers is super important.
I hear or read about stories almost daily about the beneficial results people have had and are having from drinking celery juice. I would love to hear yours too!
And here is a link to all my past post about celery juice.

Critical Clean Carbs or CCC
“Critical Clean Carbohydrates (CCC) is the name I have given to the healthy carbohydrates that provide our organs, tissues, muscles, and cells with the glucose they need to help us stay alive and thrive.
• Fruit • Raw Honey • Potatoes and sweet potatoes • Winter squash • Coconut water
The critical glucose we get from CCC:
• Protects the nervous system • Stops the brain from shrinking • Builds muscles • Protects the heart • Is vital for liver function • Protects the adrenals • Helps you cope with stress • Is critical for healing • Feeds every cell in the body
We all need CCC. Without glucose, we won’t stay alive. Unfortunately, so many people are dealing with low glucose and glycogen reserves and it’s affecting their health without them knowing. How do we run out of the liver’s glucose and its stored version, glycogen? An overabundance of stress to the liver, which can come from many different sources. Plus, even if you’re eating what seems like enough CCC, there’s also obstacles to glucose absorption, which almost everyone faces due to the diets we have grown up on and the way we are told to eat today, such as the hyper focus on including fats and eating a high-fat diet (which is synonymous with a high-protein diet). This way of eating blocks critical glucose absorption. “
I am keeping this post short today but feel free to do more research on this and also read my prior blogs posts on the importance of liver health. And be sure to eat lots of all of these foods mentioned. 🙂 And enJOY those CCC’S!
Lately I have fallen More in Love with Oranges! And why not? With all this talk of the coronavirus and just colds and flus in general, it is always good to incorporate more micro-nutrients that come from things such as fruits and veggies into your daily life.
Oranges are ˜”°•.˜”°• AMAZING •°”˜.•°”˜ and are not only absolutely delicious but are also nutritional powerhouses! We all know they are loaded with good old Vitamin C, but there is so much more to oranges.
I am always learning from Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, and here are some things he says about oranges:
Protect Against Viruses & Heavy Metals
. Oranges (and their cousins, tangerines and grapefruits) are full of the coenzyme glutathione, which goes into activation because of their high content of flavonoids and limonoids. Together, glutathione, flavonoids, and limonoids fight off viruses, protect the body from radiation damage, and deactivate toxic heavy metals in the system.
. Oranges and tangerines are also abundant in a form of bioactive calcium you can’t get anywhere else. The body instantly absorbs this calcium, which means that these citrus beauties actually help regrow teeth, not destroy them.
Kidney & Gallstones
Their acid content is not destructive; rather, it works for you by dissolving kidney stones and gallstones.
. Oranges and tangerines: Provide a combination of calcium and vitamin C; when both are combined from the same food source, the liver can use both better than it could from separate sources.
. Oranges have been called a “perfect food” and contain an amazing array of healing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients. They are high in vitamin C, vitamin A, B-complex vitamins, folate, beta carotene, lutein, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium.
. Oranges have been known to help prevent cancer, lower high blood pressure, fight off viral infections, relieve constipation, keep bones and teeth strong, prevent kidney stones and macular degeneration.
Prevent Acidosis/Remove Toxic Debris From Colon
. Oranges are rich in lime and alkaline salts that help to counteract and prevent acidosis in the body. They are also excellent for the digestive tract and help to remove toxic debris from the colon through enhanced peristaltic action.
Eye & Lung Function
. Oranges contain a significant amount of glutathione which is critical for healthy eye and lung function
Respiratory Issues/Cardiovascular Support
. Oranges are very good for respiratory problems such as asthma or bronchitis and cardiovascular issues such as hypertension and COPD.
Purify/Natural Antiseptic/Strengthen Organs
. Oranges act as an internal antiseptic to the body and have the ability to purify and strengthen all the organs in the body.
Colds & Flu
. Oranges contain anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties which are particularly beneficial for those suffering with a cold or flu or an auto-immune disorder such as shingles, arthritis, IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and raynaud’s disease.
. Oranges are an excellent weight loss food due to their high pectin content which also helps to reduce blood cholesterol.
Notes on Oranges:
. Fresh squeezed orange juice is a predigested food and allows for immediate absorption of all it’s abundant healing properties.
. Oranges are an ideal “fast food”, easy to transport, delicious to eat, and provide a steady form of energy throughout the day.
. be aware that orange juice will lose the majority of its vitamin C content within 30 minutes of being squeezed, so for optimum results drink immediately
. Whole oranges, peeled or cut in slices, are the best option as the fiber and pith is where so many of the phytonutrients and healing properties are contained.
There you have it. I for one bought two cases of oranges yesterday and have been on an orange fest. I hope that you too, delight in these amazing, nutritional powerhouses that are truly gifts from the Gods! EnJOY!
While scrolling emails this morning, one caught my eye from Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, and it was about leafy greens. Wow. What a great reminder to self, I thought. Then I thought, maybe I should write a blog post about this to help others know the power of these babies!
Here is a jaw dropping reminder and quote from Anthony:
“If you’re not getting enough leafy greens, the future of your health is in jeopardy. That might seem like a strong statement, but it’s the truth. If you’re not consuming enough raw leafy greens regularly, you will eventually experience some health challenges. Raw leafy greens, such as lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, mâche, watercress, collard greens, purslane and kale, are that critical for our wellbeing.” Anthony Williams
I for one will be picking some up today! I do tend to overlook these for some reason. So now it is time to change that.
Anthony also talks about the microorganisms in these leafy greens and how they are responsible for producing the ultimate methylated form of B12 that absorbs into the channels of our body and finds its way back to our liver when called for. Here is what he says about that: “this B12 is the liver’s number-one most important mortar to hold together all the bricks that build the castle of your health. When there’s enough of it, the liver stores ample amounts to send into the bloodstream as an assistant to almost every vitamin, mineral, and other nutrient that it releases to aid your body in any way. It’s the B12 that makes everything go right”.
Wow Go B12! I for one have been studying the effects of Vitamin B12 Deficiency for years and am allows encouraging people to get their B12 levels checked, so this hit home with me. B12 is CRUCIAL to our health and is synergistic in the uptake of all nutrients.
Sweeping The Intestinal Walls
Anthony also hits home on this powerful point:
“Additionally, raw leafy greens sweep the walls of the intestines, gently massaging your duodenum, small intestine, and colon, clearing away bad bacteria and rancid fats and proteins that have gone undigested for years. This build up is part of the reason someone can experience bloating or gastritis—and simply taking a probiotic isn’t going to fix it. Probiotics don’t kill bad bacteria. They don’t kill streptococcus or E.coli. A high quality probiotic definitely has a place in health, but they don’t do even a fraction of the healing work that elevated biotics do. The trace minerals found in leafy greens are prebiotics that feed good bacteria and kill off bad bacteria.”
Well like I said, I know what I am getting at the grocery store today. 🙂 Oh and Anthony says it is best to eat these raw…..
Quote from Anthony: Oftentimes people like to cook leafy greens, such as collard greens, spinach, bok choy, swiss chard, and kale. While these greens are incredibly healing in their raw form, it’s best to avoid cooking them. When leafy greens are steamed, sautéed, fried, roasted or cooked in any other way, it alters the naturally occurring oxalic acid (which is not at all harmful when leafy greens are raw) and makes it into a form that becomes less usable by the body. This is one reason leafy greens are best consumed raw.
Okay I hope this info inspired you as much as it inspired me to add in another powerful health enhancing idea to my day. This is how I see building on health… I try to add in more of the good stuff. It seems easier that way, than looking at everything from the point of ‘taking away’. 🙂
Have a great day everyone! And go get your GREEN on! 🙂
Breast health very much ties in with our lymphatic health.
Our bodies have a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes which area part of the body’s immune system also known as: The Lymphatic System. The Lymph System collects fluid, waste material, and other things such as viruses and bacteria that are in the body tissues, outside the bloodstream, and moves them along for disposal from the body.
In the same way that veins collect and carry blood through the body, lymph vessels carry a watery yellow fluid called lymph. Lymph flows through the lymphatic system and eventually drains into veins. This system helps to get rid of waste products from the body and to keep things moving along.
The liver ties in here too. The liver being the master filter moves along toxins as well. An overburdened, sluggish and stagnant liver can make for a comprised removal of these toxins and invaders in the body both impairing the liver and the immune system, not to mention the circulatory system. I have written about sluggish blood in the past and you can read that article here: https://maggiesvitamins.wordpress.com/2018/10/15/are-you-suffering-from-toxic-blood/
Celery Juice for Breast Health
I am a big proponent of drinking celery juice daily. It helps the lymphatic system, the liver and more! At our wellness centre “Superior Shores Wellness Centre” in Thunder Bay, Ontario, we focus very heavily on breast health by providing Thermal Imaging for our clients as well as education on prevention, ways to move lymph, diet advise, supplementation suggestions and more. We even has a Psychotherapist on staff to help with supporting people on their journey of breast health and mental health around all of the challenges involved in this area. I myself am both a Certified Life Coach & Board Certified Nutritionist who loves to help when it comes to breast health also.
As for celery juice, I cannot say enough about the benefits of adding in daily celery juicing when it comes to breast health.
According to Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, in his book “Celery Juice” Celery juice not only cleanses and frees the liver over time, it helps cleanse the lymphatic system as well by bringing in fresh deliveries of living water filled with sodium cluster salts, trace minerals, and phyto-chemicals to flush out the troublemakers. Rejuvenating the lymphatic system has everything to do with cleaning up breast tissue. Celery juice’s unique travel velocity and saturation rate also mean that it has the ability to find its way through dense, hardened, fibrous breast tissue all the way to the skin. Celery juice provides anti-tumor, anti-adhesion properties.” By the way this is great news for people with dense breasts!
Anthony also mentions how heavy metals such as mercury and aluminum settle in the breast tissue as well. We are pleased to offer testing for heavy metals as well to support our breast health program. You can learn more here: https://www.maggieholbik.com/hairmineralanalysis.html And as a side note, hair analysis can be done from anywhere you live by simply sending in a sample to our lab here in Canada.
If you need help learning about how to add celery juice into your daily routine, here is a link to all that you need to know and if you have any questions, please reach out to me. I’d be happy to help.
