Removing Stress One Bit At A Time!

Stress. Stress. Stress.

This morning I was messaging with one of my entrepreneurial team members about a virtual presentation for this afternoon. She is to present a short piece of information that she has been preparing for our upcoming meeting today. This person told me that she would do her best but that she did not feel well prepared.

A woman with her head in her hands in front of her laptop, looking stressed.

I said to her something to the effect that it was all good and that there were no worries. AND that if she did not feel that today was the best day to present her contribution, she could do it another day and that it was all ok. It was all okay.

I really believe that lowering or removing pressures in our life, is hugely helpful for our health and well-being. Even in business, I think we can make things work with less stress on ourselves. I am all about being in JOY, and it is no different in business.

The more we can lower stress and expectations that we feel pressured by, the better it is for our health and well-being. It is so important, especially at this time in history, to move away from stress and fear and to move toward peace of mind and comfort. ♥ By lowering stress we also show love and support to our immune system.

What about you?

Do you find that you put too much pressure on yourself? Or that you have too many expectations or demands put on you? Do you put these on yourself?

Even letting go of one small expectation or thing that you feel you ‘must do’, can bring a huge relief to your mind and may even be beneficial for your physical health when it comes to the body’s stress response.

When I learned about adrenaline and how it can be very toxic to our bodies, especially when it is continually running rampant, it helped me to become more conscious of lowering my stress bit by bit, and now I go through my day more aware of little ways to de-stress and to lower expectations of myself that cause me stress.

I hope you found this helpful and I wish for you less stress and more JOY in your day to day living.

And please never forget that you can and should reach out if your are feeling that you need help with your mental health. It is mental health week here in Canada and there are lots of supports and people that are always available to help.

This is from Lisa Lisson, president of FedEx Canada and I think that it is worth sharing here and a that it is a great reminder and it may inspire you or offer hope. 🙂

Coronavirus, Immune Health, Peace of Mind

The Coronavirus – A Chance to Reevaluate How We See Things

We are in challenging times here on earth and sometimes that brings about fear and change. Change is not necessarily a bad thing.

Not to minimize this virus, but if we think about it, more people die every day from gun shot wounds and drug overdoses….

So, what if we decided to use the current situation to reevaluate our own life and maybe start to feel a little more empowered rather than fearful?

What do I mean?

Well, we could decide that life really is worth living and is here for us and offers us amazing adventures and beautiful JOYful moments and experiences. And maybe we declare to ourselves that we do indeed want to experience these amazing offerings available to us. So could this be a catalyst for us to make more positive changes in our lives? 🌻

Changes like these, but not limited to:

. Being happier and more positive because that is super awesome for our immune system and our overall health!

. Stepping up our game when it comes to daily activities that can boost our immune systems and enhance our health.

. Things like walking, laughing, eating more fruits 🍉 and vegetables, getting out in nature, turning off the news, supplementing with things like Vitamin C and Zinc, following our passions, hugging our babes, writing poetry, etc. etc. etc. Anything that enhances our health and/or makes us feel good, helps. 🙂

. Turning to ♥ Love ♥ and away from Fear! Personally, I am ramping up my game in that department. More Love, More Kindness, More JOY, More … More … More….. More FEELING GOOD ◦•●◉✿ Ļᵒשє ✿◉●•◦

. Focusing on the things in life that matter most.

The list here is endless. It is simply deciding to use this current situation to make changes that give us a sense of peace and help us to actually become proactive and to make changes that are positive, beneficial and life enhancing! It’s like turning the tables from a bad thing to a good thing.

We can use this exact situation to help us to get clear on what we really want in our lives, and to get healthier, so that we can be stronger and more able to do those things that we love. We can ♥ celebrate ♥ the fact that our bodies, minds and spirits will become stronger as the result of our efforts. This is turn will assist us in becoming a stronger force in handling pathogens like viruses and bacteria. These things come along every day, so it is wise to be better prepared through a positive mindset and a stronger body.

You just can’t lose by adopting some of the principles mentioned. I hope you do adopt more of them into your life. I sure am and I am stronger and happier than ever. ˜”°•.˜”°• Full speed ahead. •°”˜.•°”˜

I leave you with one final thought:

Perhaps you can use this current state of affairs, to see how precious life is and why you do not want to waste one second in fear or in survival thinking. Time is precious so spend your moments in JOY as much as you can, do the things you LOVE and become a master of your moments.

Blessings to all…

Maggie

Bromelain, inflammation, Osteoarthritis

Bromelain

We hear a lot about the amazing benefits of Bromelain lately, and for good reason!  Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme which is an enzyme that breaks down protein. It is found naturally in the stems of pineapples.

Inside our bodies, many unhealthy cells “disguise”themselves from the immune system using a protective protein shield.

Proteolytic enzymes like bromelain can blast this protective layer, promoting the removal of cellular debris and allowing the immune system to do its job.

Bromelain also contains chemicals that interfere with the growth of tumor cells and other unhealthy cells, thereby helping the body HEAL normally.

A noteworthy fact is that  Glioma tumor cells studied displayed reduced adhesive, migratory and invasive properties following bromelain treatment. Glioma is a type of tumor that occurs in the brain and spinal cord.  Results showed a 43% difference in tumor migration in brain tissue between bromelain-treated group compared to the control group.

Bromelain Reversibly Inhibits Invasive Properties of Glioma Cells. Neoplasia. 2001 November; 3(6): 469–479.

A super interesting fact is that when it comes to osteoarthritis, treatment with bromelain (540 mg/day over a three-week period) reduced osteoarthritis symptoms by up to 80 percent!

Another great benefit of Bromelain is  that it helps the body to produce enzymes that PROTECT against illness.   In fact, bromelain has been studied for its ability to enhance the effect of the antibiotics. In a study of people with urinary tract infections, 100%
of participants given antibiotics in combination with bromelain were cured of their infection,
compared to just 46% who received antibiotics alone.

1972;19(3):147-153.

In a nutshell some of the amazing benefits of Bromelain are:

  • Supports the body’s normal healing process
  • Promotes optimal cell health
  • Supports the body’s normal inflammatory response
  • Supports the body’s normal tissue and recovery repair process
  • Supports a healthy immune system
  • Supports healthy joint function
  • Promotes healthy blood circulation
  • May help support normal blood viscosity and blood platelet aggregation

Eating more pineapple is a great way to get more Bromelain but I highly recommend a quality supplement that is delivered in a therapeutic and bioavailable way.  This is my preferred supplement of choice that I use with my clients.  This link provides a lot of useful information as well as FAQ and the science behind Bromelain. Your Amazing Life

Amazing Mineral – Magnesium!

magnesiumAmazing Mineral – Magnesium!

Do you know the amazing benefits of Magnesium? Magnesium helps to maintain normal muscle and nerve function and  helps to keep heart rhythm steady. It supports a healthy immune system and keeps bones strong. It helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, it’s involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis. There is also an increased interest in the role of magnesium and managing disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Dietary magnesium is absorbed in the small intestines and excreted through the kidneys; therefore the status of the digestive system and kidneys significantly impacts the uptake of magnesium into the body. Magnesium also comes in as a superstar in improving sleep quality! There are many sources of magnesium in our foods. Some great sources are Wheat Bran, Almonds, Spinach, Cashews, Pinto Beans, and Brown Rice. There are also many supplements available on the market if you choose that route. Due to the fact that the Digestive System places such a key role in the efficiency of magnesium uptake, I am partial to an Isotonic delivery system.
